Wksp: 5 Fnd Skills/Literacy (PreK-5th) In this course, teachers will understand The Big 5 Foundational Skills in Literacy. We will take a deep dive into each area: Phonological Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension to learn instructional strategies and routines that help refine instruction while taking students to a deep and transfer level of understanding. Participants will learn how the Big 5 areas fit together and change across the PreK-5 grades. Participants will want to purchase the text (3rd Edition) CORE: Teaching Reading SourceBook and bring their Core Reading Program Materials for implementation and planning. | |||||||
