Basic Human Biology & Lab Prerequisites: Placement into WRIT 101, C+ or better in WRIT 095, or instructor's consent. This course familiarizes students with the fundamental concepts in the systematic organization and functioning of the human body. Anatomical features and physiological processes of each system are studied as they contribute to the overall homeostasis of the body. Laboratory studies include anatomy (bones, muscles, brains, vessels, and heart) and physiology (membrane transport, blood, blood pressure, respiration, reflexes and the senses). |
