Physics I (with Calculus) Prerequisites: M 153 or high school trigonometry.Corequisite: M 171.This is the first course in a 3-semester sequence in general physics. Topics in mechanics (linear and rotational motion, energy and momentum, conservation principles), waves (simple harmonic motion, mechanical waves, superposition, sound), and heat (the laws of thermodynamics and the kinetic theory of gas).
