Chemical Oceanography

Prerequisite(s): CHMY 121.This is a preparatory course offered as part of an international studies experience in French Polynesia. Students learn how to collect and analyze quantitative chemical data sets. Students design and prepare for research projects to be carried out in coral reef environments. The course serves to provide a foundation in chemical oceanography and mathematical methods often relied upon by professionals in this field. This course may be repeated for a total of three credits. Students receiving financial aid or veteran's benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating this course.
