Welding Qualification Test Preparation Prerequisite: WLDG 111 or instructor's consent.This course provides experienced welders the opportunity to prepare for, practice, and complete the AWS National Welding Certificate exam to AWS D1.1 code. The training will include flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead positions of mild and medium steel. Emphasis is placed on heat and rod selection for various metals, techniques, and exam requirements. Both stick and tig welders will be employed. This course may be repeated for a total of eight credits. Students receiving financial aid or Veterans' benefits should check with the Financial Aid Office before repeating this class. | |||||||
