Graphic Design I This course provides an introduction to the principles of graphic design that can be applied in photography, painting, and fine arts. The course covers the fundamentals of graphic design with an emphasis on creative problem solving. Students will learn composition, color theory, models and schemes, design components, typography and terminology, resolution, design basics to prepare for web, the marketing process including branding, standard business practices, contracts and ethical guidelines for the graphic arts industry. Students work on critical thinking skills by completing visual problem-solving exercises. |
