Intro to Social Welfare Prerequisite(s): WRIT 101 or satisfactory reading and writing placement scores. This course presents an introductory overview of human services, educating students about programs and problems in meeting social welfare needs. Emphasis is on the complexity of social services along with their historical development. The course analyzes the values, attitudes, economic, and political factors that affect the provision of social services. Potential solutions to social problems and basic clinical skills are also examined. |
