Introduction to Statistics Prerequisite: Grade of "C" or better in M115M, M121M, or M140M, appropriate placement test score, or Math Department consent.Graphical methods, measures of location and dispersion, probability, commonly used distributions, estimation, and tests of hypotheses through analysis of variance are introduced. Five major probability distributions are discussed: the binomial, normal, student's t, chi-square, and the F distribution. |
