Adv Metal Finishing Prerequisites: FT 120 or instructor's consent.This course is a study of those chemical processes and metal preparation techniques that are applicable to gun metal finishing. Metal finishing processes including nitre bluing, zinc and/or manganese phosphate coating, color case hardening, and bake on coatings will be covered along with metal preparation using power equipment and hand techniques. Students will develop skills by preparing and applying various metal finishes to projects in a safe manner. | |||||||
