The lab will meet remotely during the first week of the semester 8/24/20. The following week it will meet in the lab on campus during the scheduled class days and times. The lab will continue to rotate in person and remote delivery for the rest of the semester each week. Internet access is required for this class. College Chemistry I Prerequisite: appropriate score on the chemistry placement exam, or a grade of "C" or better in CHMY 121NL within the past two years, or Chemistry Department consent.Intended for science majors, this is the first of a two-semester course sequence of the general principles of modern chemistry, emphasizing the experimental nature of the science of chemistry and a more mathematical intensive approach, with emphasis on critical and analytical thought. Topics covered include stoichiometry, atomic structure, bonding, states of matter, and chemical reactivity. Laboratory included. |
