The course focuses on skill development in the primary responsibilities of the EMR: providing emergency medical care to victims of emergencies and stabilizing their condition prior to transport to an appropriate facility. This course is a combination of classroom work and skills lab. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification examinations.
