Immunology and Serology Prerequisite: admission to the MLT program.Corequisites: AHMT 201, AHMT 205, AHMT 215, AHMT 295-Clinical/Medical Laboratory I. This course introduces the basic principles of antigen and antibody reactions. It compares and contrasts the different immunological procedures and describes the mechanisms that protect the body from disease and infection. Students will study the principles of serological procedures used in the identification of plasma proteins and the diagnosis of blood borne diseases. |
